Ruth Bell Graham passed away

June 14, 2007

My heart is a bit silenced this evening as Ruth Bell Graham died today at 5:05 p.m. My heart can not help but to feel so sad. She was born in 1920 and the wife, love and partner of Billy Graham, the world’s renowned evangelist. I remember when I was a teenager going to one of their Crusade’s in Cleveland at the old Brown’s Football Stadium. Being there was thousands of people, getting to attend the crusade is a moment I will never forget in my heart. I have been a huge follower of their work, read so many of their books and currently receive Decision Magazine. You could not help but to feel as if you were part of this family in one way or another. To imagine all that she has endured, and the burdens she carried as she raised five children and a lot of that time she raised them on her own as her husband Billy traveled all over the world spreading the word, and saving hundreds by the hundreds of souls. She truly has been an inspiration in my life.

My heart goes out to the family, especially Billy as they were married for 63 years. Wow, that alone just makes me feel awe. My father is 65 so to think about this in terms of time, he was only two years old.

To our sweet Angel Ruth, who is now looking down on us all, I will forever and always remember you in my heart. For we did not know one another in person but our lives have touched in spirit.

Time To Adore

And when I die I hope my soul ascends slowly, so that I may watch the earth receding out of site its vastness growing smaller as I rise, savoring its recession with delight. Anticipating joy is itself a joy and joy unspeakable and full of glory needs more than in a twinkling of an eye, more than in a moment . Lord, who am I to disagree? It’s only we have much to leave behind, so much before. These moments of transition will, for me, be time to adore.

June 6, 2007

With hubby’s family reunion coming up I designed a magnet for a keepsake with the date on it and got this pretty green flower kit and decided it would be perfect to take a picture of our tree’s in the front yard and well you guessed it, Scrap it! This is a resized to display here in my blog. Isn’t it just pretty!!!

Trees June 07

Hubby is considering taking out the red maple because as you can see its growing at an angle and that can lead to a real hum dinger of a mess, and replant a new tree. I love the red mulch!!!

My Furbabies

June 5, 2007

I did a challenge for the month called scraplift where you make your own scrap page sort of following the layout of the one choosen for the month, so I chose to scrap my furbabies: (remember this is resized from a larger page to show here)

My Furbabies May 07

Top kitty as you know is my baby Twinkle (she is almost 2), then on the bottom left is Misty (she is 6), and bottom right is Whisper (he is 15).

Upgraded to 2.2

June 5, 2007

Ok everyone if you see any errors anywhere please let me know, as I upgraded this morning. Oh fun fun fun. I always back up my posts but it doesn’t back up my links and what nots. Sometimes I wish they could just make a software or a program that doesn’t need updated because of security flaws….just once it would be nice
