What was the harm really?

September 23, 2007

As many know I am a designer assistant for an awesome lady here in the world of digital scrapping. I do enjoy what I do, hosting a weekly chat and getting to know other gals in the digital realm of things.

In an update group for a store that she is co-owner off, they post updates, layouts and things, designers send things through. One of her other gals that host’s a chat for her at that particular store invited us to come. So I went and I felt bad for her that only two showed up for chat, not counting myself. So I thought I post an invite via the update group about the chat seeing how I am working for a co-owner. What happens? I got called on the carpet and what is more is in front of the entire update group about it. Was that really necessary? Honestly??

Seriously what was the harm?? You know its ok for others to go around who are on their creative teams, or their advertising person or for us gals who buy their products and use them and post them in galleries all over to mention things but for me to just say hey I have chat coming up in 15 minutes if you like to join me your welcome? Are you serious?? What harm was that and exactly what did I do wrong??

She could of handled that off the group not through the group. Needless to say I emailed the girl I assist and I left that update group to NEVER return. That was uncalled for and I can tell you this much I will never use or purchased off this particular person that did that either!!!

How would she like it? I didn’t do anything wrong. I didn’t advertise, send an ad, or any links just let them know I was hosting a chat for one of the co-owners and where if they like to come. Nothing more.. Nothing less.

So I left the group and emailed the gal I help to let her know how upset I am and further more I won’t be spending any of my monies at the other scrap store. I won’t. Not after that. I will shop else where as I will not help support the person who mishandled this situation!!!!

Body Shop Supplies

September 23, 2007

A great field to get into career wise is body shop work. There are so many talented young men out there, my nephew and stepson included, who really love this type of work. First important factor is getting the training you need. Once you have done that is time to purchase the body shop supplies, whether your starting your own business or working for another one, they require you to have your own tools. From hand tools to power tools, getting quality tools at an affordable price is important when you just starting out.
