Drop Shadow or no Drop Shadow?

I am really finding that some scrap kit creators are applying drop shadows to their elements. This is not always a good thing for me when I am working and creating my layouts. For starters I totally prefer them to not have any “pre” drop shadows applied to them when I purchase them. I like to add my own shadows and if the kit’s elements have already had a shadow added, it really makes my layouts look crappy. I also do not wish to have to take the element and clean off the drop shadow before creating my layout. That takes time away from my scrapping and really is not necessary.
So personally speaking I do have a preference. I prefer to purchase a kit that has no drop shadows added to the elements yet so that I can do that myself in the layout I am creating with a look and feel that I want. So because of this, I will be limiting myself on where I shop. Because I learned a deal is not always a good deal!
