Newest Edition to our Family
November 4, 2007
This is a scrap of our newest edition to the family. Meet Raskal!! He is just so precious and so cute and adorable all wrapped up. He loves to paw your cheek and give kisses and sometimes a nibble on your nose. We adopted him on DSD so I say he is the official mascot! (wink)He is adjusting very well to his new home and is so full of energy and fun. Very playful and so funny and is a pistol let me tell you, so his name fits him well!
Inspiration for a new kit…
November 4, 2007
My neighbor’s daughter is busy planning her wedding. There is so much work that goes into planning a wedding. I remember when I was working on my wedding to my hubby and trying to find those perfect wedding flowers. They had to be pink, white and blue because those were the colors of my wedding. I wanted carnations and baby’s breath definitely in the arrangement. Carnations are my favorite flower, believe it or not. But it’s an exciting time and talking with my neighbor just really brought back those memories. So I think I am going to make a kit to show that.
Tasty Cooked Bacon from the Microwave is possible!!
November 4, 2007
My husband really enjoys having bacon every Sunday. He get’s up and cooks it himself. Let me tell you it literally takes him hours to cook it, as he cooks very slow and is very fussy about his bacon. Even I can not cook it just right! My father lives with us and he looks forward to it. This morning he tried a new method of cooking his bacon in the microwave. Now let me tell you this isn’t what you are thinking, splatter and grease everywhere and burnt or half cooked bacon. He used a microwave bacon cooker. This is a totally enclosed unit and the only one known to be on the market. It only took him less than ten minutes to cook up a pound of bacon compared to hours! Our bacon was a little thicker so it took a little longer than the recommended time in an 1100 watt oven. But what really shocked him was how much grease there was compared to what is left in the pan from cooking. It was over double the amount and to think he has been eating this for how many years once a week? If you want to try something new, I give it a go but highly recommend using regular cut bacon verses the thicker because the thicker came out a little tough and a little dryer, but after all think of all that fat that wasn’t in it. Its much better for you to cook your bacon this way then sitting in a pan of grease!
