Christmas Eve
January 8, 2008
This is a scrap of our tree with the presents under it for the kids, dad and us. We take down the stockings from the fireplace to fill them and place them under the tree as well. We alway’s do this once the family is in bed and asleep.

My Nativity pieces
January 8, 2008
This is a scrap of my indoor and out door nativity pieces. I have had my indoor nativity for many years. I really treasure it. I always have it set up on a little table with little candles that are battery operated, but they were broken this year so no light sigh. We keep our outdoor nativity pieces in our sun room, with our little blanket of fake snow and a little tree. Just would not be Christmas without them! I love to get a stable for the set outside, it would be awesome I think!

Christmas Display of Treasured Goodies
January 8, 2008
This is a scrap of my little Village, its a fiber-optic set. (I think 02, 03 and 04) With my little Santa and Mrs. Claus salt and pepper shakers (from the 90’s), with my little bears and more salt and pepper shakers (from the early 90’s), and the bottom shelf are my OREO tins I have collected over time.

Christmas Decorations Outside
January 8, 2008
This is a scrap of our outside decorations. New this year were the three wise men, as I have only had Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus for the past 5 years, and the star on the house. I sure wish we would of had a white Christmas, its was very cold but no snow…someone’s been hogging it all and I am not pointing fingers!

Must be a better way to organize so I don’t buy duplicate kits!
January 8, 2008
Its been a very stressful few weeks, so I thought before I tackle more coding on the blog, that I catch up on some scraps. I am working on my Christmas scraps this morning. Now I don’t know how you organize your kits when you buy them, but the way I do it, is by store. Now the problem I am finding with this is… I end up buying double kits because majority of the designers are at more than one store! I did this quite a few times over the past year!! I kid you not. Now I won’t go back and ask for credits or anything, its my goof up, but there must be a better way to organize. I try to not unzip all mine until I want to use it. I save a preview of the kit so then I can browse the previews then grab the folder with the zips for that kit and then I scrap!! I have a handful of duplicate purchases, but from different stores.
So now that OAKS is closing, and a handful of other’s have closed or designers have left a particular store I am wondering if I should create myself a new system. Being that I am going to have a DRAMA free zone, I still think by store is my best option so I KNOW where I purchased it at, plus gives me an idea of what I spent and at each store, so when I compare it to my paypal accounts I know where the funds went. Yes I was a bookkeeper, can you tell? I am big on accountability, not to mention my hubby uses the paypal account sometimes, and tends to have a lapse in memory of using it!!!
So I thought about setting it up by designer name and separate folders inside that folder per store and put the kits in there, but then I stop and say to myself are you insane, that’s hours of work shifting and moving.
So how do you organize??? Any ideas or suggestions???
