Once upon a time…

January 20, 2008

Once upon a time there was a great site that was a tool for new scrap designers to come and learn.  It was to learn about photoshop and other programs like paint shop pro, to use this program to create digital scrapbook  layouts, from pretty papers, ribbons and bows, newspaper and tears, and buttons galore!  Then a bunch of drama queens decided they were bored and wanted to create drama and caused havoc for all members of DigiscrapDesigner.com.  They challenged the definitions of copyright, and they posted member only items for all to see on a smack blog.  Thinking they had the last laugh the owners pulled the site down to protect it.  Of course this lead to even more drama as a witch hunt began.  They made up crap, pointed fingers, did a lot of name calling,  even went as far as notifying  the better business bureau, even when this situation no longer affected them since they were removed from the site,  before even giving the owner a chance to sort things out.

So behind the scenes the owner and others worked hard to come up with a way to honor all memberships and protect their work in such a way that this could not happen again.  They send out an email notice:

DigiScrapDesigner.com is back on line. Thirty days has been added to your subscription.

Since I was anxious to finally log back in to finish one of Jane’s  paint shop pro tutorials I was in the middle of, decided to go and log in and maybe finish this long awaited project.  To log in to the pretty colors with the new terms of use, read them diligently, agreed to said terms logged in and what a grave, and huge disappointment.  All that goodies that were there from the member only downloads, to variety of learning tools and tutorials, for they are no more, only a handful of photoshop tutorials.  Not at all what this peasant paid for!

Just goes to show what happens when a bunch of drama queens enter the picture!  Down to basics and nothing more.  For now I will have to delete this long awaited project that I worked so hard and so proud on for it never be finished.  Tis never more!

 The End.

Drip Drip Drip

January 20, 2008

Most nights, that is was I hear, drip, drip, drip!  The sink from the bathroom from our room has this very slow drip to it.  Very annoying to say the least.  The entire plumbing really needs replaced.  I want to totally redo the back bathroom, like that episode of Everybody Love’s Raymond where Debra redid their bathroom, except where she used purple shades, I would use pink!  I been looking at Delta faucets, and there are even a few I like to have in my kitchen!!  When I go to Walmart I am always looking at the wallpaper border and paints are, getting a vision of what I want.  Then I thought hey maybe I could make a scrap kit with the visions of laces, and pretty flowers and pinks.  Hey its an idea.  When you get an inspiration I say go for it!
