My kids just crack me up sometimes. They dared me to take a picture of my socks and do a scrap page. They think I would be too embarrassed and I ask you, what is wrong with my socks? They are warm, fuzzy, soft and comfy and my favorite to wear!! Hey and I got em on sale!! They make be funky, but I like em!

My stepson just turned twenty last Saturday. He came to visit us last Sunday and was showing hubby some things he like to get for his next car, like some rear spoilers. He wanted to go ahead to order them and I am thinking don’t you need to get the new car first? Unless you know for sure the model and make of the car you are going to find, I would not think he want to buy them first, I hate to see him have to send them back to exchange them. First the car, then the accessories.
Been invited to a scrap but not going..why?

I have been invited to meet with a group of local women in my area to meet up at JoAnn Fabrics for a scrap together and I am not going? Why? Simple!
With all the behavior online and rumors that are flying, I just don’t feel comfortable going with supplies at hand, and take the chance in someone needing a paper, or ribbon or something for their layout, and be accused of being a pirate!
I have to tell you, it says on my invitation, about purchasing scrapbook supplies at a discount and mix and matching with each other. What I don’t get is, why is it ok for me to do this at the store for the scrap, but heaven forbid you are scrapping with a friend online who is in need of a certain color paper or frame or something and if you share that with them your a pirate and perhaps you will be taken down for file sharing? Why is it not OK with digital scrapping? I just do not understand this at all.
So I think it’s best I do not go, because then, I would be guilty by association if the other ladies there share and I don’t! That is how it is online! Plain and simple!
I have come to a conclusion that I am an outsider in this so called “scrap community”. Its NOT, I repeat NOT a community at all. There are private chat forums at a popular forum and what they do behind scenes is terrible and horrible. If that is what it means to be part of a community I won’t no part of it. Its why I left that forum in the first place, but I got an email telling me my privacy information may have been compromised because of someone had administrative access and has been caught breaching confidentiality and was caught in the act of piracy. She had access to my personal information and email.
So it can be confusing for a scrapper who has been a paper scrapper for years to head into the digital side because its a whole new set of rules and would I recommend it? To get together with laptops at hand to meet to digital scrap together because someone might see a pretty paper they love to use for their baby layout, because its NOTHING like paper scrapping where a person can be kind and generous in sharing. NOT at all!
So I think it’s best, as much as I would love to go, for me to stay home and will continue to be a HERMET SCRAPPER. Scrapping alone. Folks let me tell you something, it sure gets pretty lonely!!

I want to thank those who give some input and suggestions in getting the freebies back up! I have set up a Yahoo Group, that you will have to be a member of, to be able to access the freebies. I apologize if this seems to be an inconvenience, but due to the fact others were hotlinking, I was really left with no choice, except not having them anymore.
Once your a member and your logged in, you will find direct links under the links in the sidebar menu of the yahoo group. All you have to do is click the name and it will open for you to download.
By becoming a member of the yahoo group, you are instantly agreeing to the Terms of Use and should you be found hotlinking so non members can download them, you will be removed from the group. Should this be a huge problem I will be left with no choice but to stop sharing! I really do hope it does not come to this.
Please do share the link to the blog, so your family and friends can join the yahoo group and enjoy the freebies.

Need a new one

With my kids, well they are teens now, I kid you not we have had to purchase a new vacuum every year. They bang them around, or slam them into the wall or doors when they get upset because they are asked to do a few chores. It just been a nightmare. I have been looking at vacuum cleaners in hopes of getting a new canister vacuum. See, we had one but it was one the kids broke and it sure would make it much easier on me to get my chores done during the week plus those extra little things like edging and cleaning furniture.

I have to tell you that this layout is very special to me, you see this photo in this layout is the only picture I have of when I was a daddy and being his caregiver now, just when I see it I am very teary eyed. I will forever treasure this. It will always be a special reminder too of when I was looking for something to send to a friend, I came across this picture, and had taken a moment to stop and reflect.
Journaling reads: This is the only picture I have of me when I was a baby. This is so special to me and I will forever treasure it. I just found this the other day and I was all teary eyed.
