Personalized Magnets

For the past few years I was in charge of running my husbands family reunion. I have to tell you this was a big thing for me to do especially since I have panic attacks when I am in front of a bunch of people, but it was fun. I had ordered a family banner that is reusable year after year and I designed and ordered magnets from VistaPrint for keepsake gifts for family members to take home. Now I am thinking of ordering some magnetic signs from them as well. They offer a large variety of personalized items like business cards, announcements, thank you cards and even checks! You can even upload your own image to make them. I have just the sweet pictures of our pet Raskal and it would make the sweetest checks! I have to tell you everyone at the reunion has loved the magnets and many ask for extras to take home, good thing I ordered plenty and the prices were unbeatable. If I get lazy and not print my own mailing labels, sometimes I just order a roll of address labels and they last for a long time. Some sites I have gone too they charge so much more if you reorder because your not a first time buyer but at VistaPrint I pay the same each time. That to me speaks a lot about their service!

I just wanted to let my visitors know that my father in law has passed away and I will be away for a few days so please do not be upset should I not reply to an email or post your comments right away. I will be checking in as often as I can.

I would so love to get away! I have to tell you I am just so exhausted and stressed out that I seriously need a vacation! I am not taking about a luxury vacation, going off to Italy or anything, although it is my dream to one day to go Italy, but just a little two or three day get away! I would love to go to Branson Missouri. There are so many attractions right there that would make such a fun get away. I love to ride roller coasters and would love to go to Silver Dollar City and enjoy the festivities and the rides there. Then after that head over to visit the Titanic Museum, yes I know there I go again talking about the Titanic, but i have always been fascinated and loved getting to visit the exhibit when it was in Cleveland. Then my last day there would be all about relaxing and shopping! Believe it or not they have vacation packages that would allow me to do all that! I have to tell you being a caregiver and having my son home all the time schooling and raising our family in general, my husband and I definitely do not get enough time to ourselves and I really wish we could get away and reconnect and just be us without the extras!!
Thinking of refinancing

Well since they have lowered the interest rates a few times, we keep getting all these advertisements letters from mortgage lenders offering to refinance us. I look over the paperwork and the balance to refinance it just appears to me that all the money we have paid over the past soon to be two years would be a wash and personally I am just not sure that is the best option for us just yet, since the loan is still fairly new. But some of the offers sure sound tempting but over all would not save us much money, but is perfect for someone who has a sub prime loan!
Wish my dad could afford

I really wish my dad was in a place financially to be able to carry some type of medicare supplement. With the rising costs of gas and health care, he really isn’t getting all the testing he should have done. Being a caregiver is very hard and we have taken on some of his expenses and it’s getting really to a point where we just can not keep doing that and I don’t want him to take this in a bad way but to understand what is is doing to us financially. We are the ones making payments on his hospital bed for expenses that medicare isn’t covering or applied to his yearly deductible. He doesn’t stop driving his car as much either and now with the price of gas as high as it is right now, he is literally going to have no choice as I can not afford to fill our gas tank and his!
Serious discussions

With the news and preparations going on right now since my father in law recently passed away, it really scares me even more that we don’t have whole life insurance, or any type of life insurance right now. Just the thought of what could happen is a very scary thing. As it stands right now I would not have a place to live. Not to mention other financial issues. My hubby and I are going to be going through some big changes in our lives soon and hope at that time we can meet the financial responsibilities in the area of insurance.
