Stubborn as a mule

My dad just got back from his doctor appointment. He goes in every six months. Each time his doctor asks him to have some testing done like a colonoscopy and take a colon cleanse product and make sure he doesn’t have any thing bad going on. But each time he refuses. He won’t budge and this causes me grave concern. He is just as stubborn as a mule. Its like having a child in the house that I can say oh but yes you are having it done.
He doesn’t get it!

My son doesn’t get it! You see our kids have a computer that is just for them. Its an older computer but still works. My son doesn’t get the fact that some of the games he wants will work on that computer. It needs a new video card. Now my hubby and have been watching the prices on video cards and I have to make sure its one that will be compatible to the computer. My son just expect us to just spend the money but my approach is perhaps he needs to do some extra chores and earn the money himself.
Pink Laptop give me the blues

My pink laptop is giving me the blues. I am so frustrated with it, only because of the operating program, yes you guessed it Windows Vista! I would love to first try adding more memory before throwing in the towel and buying XP. I am the computer tech in the house, meaning I am not afraid to take a tower apart to clean it out or tinker with adding say a new video card or something. But I have yet to take apart a laptop! So I admit I am a bit nervous since laptop is new for me. I seen on the news the other night about a virus issue with Vista and wish for those of us who have a valid copy of Vista, that Microsoft would send us a working copy of XP until they next platform is released. One can only hope!
He gained a little weight

Since my hubby quit smoking in January, things have just been like a roller coaster ride. From his mood swings to health issues like the weight gain. Now his eyes are bothering him a bit so I made him an eye appointment. I seen him on his laptop last night and was a bit surprised to see him searching for top diet pills and reading up about them. I just think he should talk to the doctor before he tries any pills, especially after his angina attack in January. Time will tell. But now that we have our new bikes and its warming up, he will loose that extra weight in no time, I hope.
