About

My name is Susan. I am a happily married homemaker from Ohio. I have children who are not so little anymore, my stepson is 21, my daughter is 19 and my son is 16. I am caregiver to my father who is 67, with advanced stages of RA, COPD, and Emphysema, and has a few other health issues which is complicating matters right at the moment.  I also have three adorable fur babies, my cats: Misty, Twinkle and Raskal.  My kitty Whisper crossed over Rainbow Bridge 11/26/2008, he was 17 years old.

My life can really be busy most days and I spend most of my time running in circles like my cats chasing their tails!I love to listen to country music, I am really a country girl at heart, but my love for music doesn’t stop there.  I enjoy listening to music from the oldies days and still have my favorite The Carpenters (upgraded to a CD now) from the 70’s.  I loved the older pop rock from the 80’s and 90’s.

I enjoy reading when I can find the time, sewing, cooking/baking, playing the Nintendo Wii with my family.  It’s great to be able to play some games that my hubby enjoys playing too, especially bowling as he use to bowl on a team.

I am very soft spoken, but can have a real potty mouth! If I feel strongly about something I believe in, I am going to speak up about it. In time’s like today you really have to stand strong. I am tender hearted, sensitive in nature, dependable and always there to lean on. Sometimes this can be a character flaw as there are those who take advantage.

I am a very creative person. I love arts and crafts and my love of digital scrap booking. How I wish I had this when my kids were so little. I love my digital camera, its not a real fancy one but I love it just the same. Did I mention its Pink too? I much rather be creative then sitting on the couch in front the television, although my there are a few shows I try not to miss, Desperate Housewives, CSI Miami, and Gray’s Anatomy.

I have a small collection of Longaberger Baskets and an awesome collection of cookbooks. I am very proud of my cookbook collection, as I love to collect the vintage ones.  I actually have an original copy of the very first Bisquick cookbook.   I am a huge fan of Paula Dean and Sandra Lee. Cooking and baking truly is a passion of the heart for me.

Some day its my dream to move out into the country, where I am wake up and take my cup of tea or coffee and sit out on my front porch on my swing just enjoying the beautiful view. I would love to grow my own garden and can my own fruits and veggies and go back to making my own spaghetti sauce. I love to be in a moment where time isn’t so rushed.

I have always wanted to own my own Bed and Breakfast. I think this would be so awesome and so much fun, to bring the simplest pleasures into someone’s life as they escape for a little bit of rest and relaxation.
