Teaching this old dog Photoshop Elements!!

Since turning my desktop computer over to my son, I am trying to adjust and teach myself the program Photoshop Elements.  I just seen to have some trouble adjusting to the text tool.  I have used Paint Shop Pro for so long, when your so use to one program, trying to learn another one isn’t so easy.  I have a book a nice gal from the scrapping community sent me and I am going to sit down and get my nose in it soon.  I am excited to be just a Mac girl now but the one program I am missing definitely is Paint Shop Pro.  I have to tell you Corel really needs to make a Mac version and expand their market a little bit, they might surprise themselves in the sales they get in return!  I know quite a few who would purchase it!  I did brave the partitioning of the drive and do have windows installed with paint shop on it, but when I use it, I can not connect to the Internet (not set up for it) and I have no sound.  I like to scrap with music playing.  I think what I have to get use to with text is in Photoshop is using styles in place of the effects I used in PSP.  Also my scrap kit drive, my external isn’t recognized by the mac like for drag and dropping either.  So any new kits I buy I have to put on a flash drive, boot up windows and drag onto that drive, UNLESS I reformat the drive and no way I want to do that, with all my kits on there and my designer tools and such, no no no!  So a few bumps in the road but I will figure it out.
